FOR SALE - Garlando World Champion

I haven't used my table for ages so its time to sell up. I bought it in 2006 which was before the newer models (goalposts, higher goals etc) came out so its the variety that immediately preceded that. Here's a list of all the relevant specs I can think of: - Pinny feet - Through rods - Rubber bumper...

Surely the friendship forum is essentially one big "partner wanted" thread?

Does the MD abbreviation in the package deals stand for Mixed Doubles? Seeing as there aren't anywhere near as many female players as male players most people (esp. SPs) won't be able to enter mixed but still end up paying for it.

Re: Liverpool open feedback

Having said all that, Garlando tournaments are seemingly dying in the UK so it was good to have one so we keep good exposure on both tables. Joe - Oxford and Warwick would probably run at least one Garlando event each but there are so many Tornado events already planned that there is no space in th...

Used to be. Unfortunately the student's union is being rebuilt so we had to move our Tornado and Garlando out for this year :(

I hope it is not against the rules to do two posts so close together. I have just spent a day away with my family and hadn't realised how dangerous it would be (to spend a day away from the computer that is, not spend a day away with my family -although they come close) Luke Ashley. I have been mea...

I used to get pain in my wrist snaking but I guess I did some permanent harm to myself cos I don't get it anymore. Playing for a long time I get backache, but I'm guessing thats just from leaning down over the table. They should be about 6" higher.

The optimism of the first few replies has been met with the turgid defence of the snakers... Boo hoo hoo!  Don't take away my shot!  How else will I win foosball matches? Whats that?  Grass roots?  Who cares about the "grass roots"?!  So long as there are twenty people willing to turn up and defend...

The warwick exec would probably be in favour of running a no snake event at the next Holywell - probably 'no snake' ranked events on the Saturday. Geoff, if there was a snake-free day at the next Holywell tournament do you think a few of your school players would be willing to make the trip?

Different events use different trophies. At Holywell events we normally use http://www.trophysales.co.uk/ (economy cups section ftw) but I think at the last Holywell Bill Ormerod got a great deal on some trophies from someone else.

The main issue for me seemed to be ball control - it was far harder than even Garlando to get the ball to roll in a straight line. Even worse than a curved trajectory,a  lot of the time it would be rolling then move off at 90 degrees. Don't know if its the ball or the surface, but it was irritating ...

Wanted - Garlando feet

Warwickfoos needs to buy some of the slightly old rubber feet for Garlando WC - the kind with the rubber caps for the legs that the feet then slot into. If you have any for sale or know anywhere that does please let me know through PM or reply here.
