Re: ITSF-standard FAS table

I actually really like the look of that. Springs not bumpers too. Just wondering...
what is the spacing like on the 3 bar?
is there a seam down the size of the feet like on most tables?
how heavy of the rods relative to other tables?

cheers

Ben your back! I came up to Reading a few weekends ago for the tournament and you were nowhere to be seen. Where were you?

Re: Mobile Phone Stories

When the iphone came out I wanted one. However once I worked out that it would cost me a minimum of £900 over 18 months. So I kept my noddy phone. 18 months later I am about £700 richer for not buying an iphone. :)

Even if you only spend £30 a month that translates to £360 per year.

Re: Disillusioned with table football

If people are skint they are skint but it is a case of you do what you want most with the money you have. I'm skint on the basis i dont have enough money to do everything. In the summer i play cricket so there is petrol, match fees and kit to take money away leaving me with fluff and a button. In t...

Re: Disillusioned with table football

It was expensive but I dont think it is fair to call it a rip of. As I remember those were hand cut chips and quality burgers! In my opinion the place was just "too posh". The average foo's player being a bit ore more caravan park than luxury hotel. :)

Re: Snake hitting Crossbar

Of course, as seems to be typical now of most table manufacturers, they "fixed" the problem by making the most ridiculously overkill changes to the table, very nearly ruining it entirely (and alienating large parts of their core player base in Austria). The changes were to slightly raise the holes ...

Re: Disillusioned with table football

This seems like a good time to point out that Ben, or anyone else are very welcome to make the journey down to Southampton on a Wednesday. If you were coming down we could get there a little early and you would get at least three and a half hours of foos. Many experienced tournament players here. Ho...

Reading on the 28 or 29 August

Well after some super Reading foos action a fortnight ago I would like to come again.

The missus is away this weekend so I am a free man for a few days. What day is best? Friday or Saturday night?

Anyone else from Southampton want to come too?

I would like this, I would be happy to help new players and would like to get the benefit of a top player telling me where i am going wrong.

Re: Honorary memberships- a good idea?

I have seen it work well on other forums. I raise it because over the years the foosball scene has lost many people that have put in lots of effort in the past and I wonder if a bit of public praise would have perhaps kept them around for a bit longer. Choosing who gets its and who does not would be...

Honorary memberships- a good idea?

What do people think about setting up some sort of honorary membership for those individuals who have put a great deal into the table football community? Do you think the BFA should publicly recognise individuals who have gone above and beyond what can reasonably be expected of a person to assist th...

Re: BFA and DP

When I met DP in person many years ago he seemed a nice enough guy. He may even be 100% in the right. But unfortunately this thread has achieved nothing but to exasperate old wounds.

Unfortunately we have still lost stumpy's behind the scenes presence and unfortunately DP will still never play.
