Re: Nuneaton - Royal Oak table football thread

It is the partnered first friday event. I hope to make it to demonstrate the swerve shot, if we come we will probably bring Alex along as well, thus conveniently making an odd number for a bring your partner event!!

Re: Results and Afterglow for the European Fireball Open 201

Loved the event, was really good fun. I'd just like to say with respect to the SPD incident that Meng referred to, don't worry about it we lost all our other games anyway, i'm sure it was just a misunderstanding and I hope it didn't put you or Reza off your game. I think its the first time I've call...

Re: Nuneaton - Royal Oak table football thread

Another super night of table football, really enjoying the mix of garlando and fireball. Finding it very interesting how everyone is adapting to the new table.

Re: Nuneaton - Royal Oak table football thread

Chris, what's the latest on balls for the new table? Also I don't suppose there's any way we could get it in for Friday?...only 4 more fridays to practice for Manchester including this one. I could get down a little earlier than normal (Maybe by 18:30) if you need help to move it.....PS I'd be happy...

Re: What is (the definition of) "Dead-Man Shot"?

...So just to be really pedantic  by defining the shot as the shooting bar being in the dead position it is possible to to complete the shot successfully on a garlando striking the ball in the centre with the centre of the playerfigure's foot.....the problem is that this would (on garlando) fa...

Re: What is (the definition of) "Dead-Man Shot"?

not only does it avoid unnecessarily gender-specific language Brilliant! reminds me of when grammar checkers were very overzealous and would change/list gender specific expressions as incorrect by default meaning such things like... "The king and queen had a son, who was the prince. He got married ...

Re: Leonhart WCS

Unfortunately neither of us can make this, bad timing, should have planned this better in advance, especially as I said in February we planned to go to one WCS.

I assume there will be no RS WCS since i've not seen one advertised yet.

Re: Kids and through rods

Bundy beat me to it - was going to suggest the futbolin things. Alternatively just make some from a length of narrow rigid plastic pipe. Essentially it just has to be longer than the maximum protrusion of the rod. You can then stick a tennis ball/squash ball with a friction fit sized hole over the e...

Re: Nuneaton - Royal Oak table football thread

Is it a 'full' first friday tomorrow i.e. food and BYP? I'm bringing someone along from work and he seems more interested in the food than the foosball at the moment!
