British Foosball Association

Warwick BFA Tour 2007

The University of Warwick Table Football Society will be running a national ranking series of events throughout this calendar year. We plan to have two events this term, one at the end of the summer term (in June, after Oxford) and one or two in the Winter term.

Venue:
the bar, Rootes Social Building,
Main Campus, University of Warwick,
Coventry.
CV4 7AL

There will be one WC table and three olympic silver tables with WC rods and the glass removed. All tables will have the new yellow Garlando balls.

The first two dates are:
Thursday 8th February
Thursday 8th March

The events will be limited to 40 players (pre-reg required), without which we wouldn't be able to run the event in one evening. It will kick off at 6:30 and consist of one Open Doubles event: Groups followed by DE.

Entry fees (per person) are as follows:

The points are calculated by the BFA ranking standards. At the end of the series, the overall results will be treated as a single Open event for the purposes of national rankings, with ranking points awarded and weighted accordingly.

The next event will be towards the end of our third term (in June).

When is the next one?

Not sure yet but we have an exec meeting tomorrow so the announcement should be soon (in fact it has to be soon to give four weeks notice).

Everyone has received lower points for the last event. Did you use a '6' chart instead of an '8' one? '8' is the lowest value for the ranking document.

An 8-chart is the smallest in the doc but the general principle still holds

6-chart - 35, 25, 15, 8, 3

Bear in mind that the ST points are only added on 31-12-07 and are reset on 1-1-08, so the totals will go down at that point.
